About this video
In this video Zane from Audio Tech TV (formerly Simple Green Tech) looks at the different ways to use tape saturation in a mix. The plus used is the Waves J37 Tape saturation plugin. This Waves tape saturation emulates the Abbey Road J37 tape machine that has been used on countless recordings. Tape saturation can add some nice warmth and also make your tracks sound less digital. The Waves J37 Tape plugin can be used not only as a straight up tape saturation but it can also be used as a tape delay and there are some creative vibrato and tremolo types of effects in it too.
